Airplay keeps asking for a password to play to sonos from Apple TV. And I don’t have. A password set anywhere.

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 13

  • AirPlay will not need your Apple ID password.
  • Add your Sonos to your ‘Home’ in the Home app on an iOS device. In the Speakers & TVS section, select Allow Speakers & TV Access. There would be an option to require an AirPlay password. If set, you can read what the password is there, or turn it off.
  • Some users that have experienced the same thing, and had no password set, have found that a factory reset of the Sonos solved it.
