Screen goes weird after sleeping

Sometimes after I stop using my laptop for a little bit then open the lid up, the screen becomes white and colour pixels as soon in the picture below. I doubt this is meant to happen is there anything that could cause this that I can fix? Do i need to go into a store or does this happen to other mac pros?

Hello Kazel1!

If we understand correctly you notice image distortion on your MacBook Pro while waking from sleep. Is that right? We're happy to help out.

Which apps are most in use when this happens?

Have you checked to make sure that all your apps are updated?

Also, are you running the latest version of macOS?

If so, we would recommend testing the issue in and out of safe mode. Safe mode will clear your system cache and attempt to repair any directory related issues.

Resetting both your SMC and NVRAM is also a good idea as well. Keep us updated once you’re able to give these steps a try.
