Dolby Vision much darker than TV app (LG OLED B6)

Hi, I've been using the 4K ATV for over a year now and always felt Dolby Vision was too dark and contrast too high. Recently I went back to the built it TV netflix app and immediately noticed a huge difference. The DV on the built in app was much more detailed. There was better color, sharpness, and shadow detail. I saw that this was reported by other ATV users in apple forums as well as other AV forums. Just wondering if there is anything we can do about it or if there are any updates coming in the future to improve DV picture quality.
