Flash Player Not Working

I recently updated my MacBook and I think I am running Safari 14 now (where you can change the background) and my flash player is seemingly not working. Every time I try to play an online game that requires flash, it says that I need to download flash player, but I already have it. Ive tried updating it and going to system preferences and can't figure out how to turn it on. What is happening?
