Preview and Shortcuts Folders in iCloud Drive Won't Stay Deleted

Hi,

Even after I delete them, the preview and shortcuts folders in iCloud Drive keep coming back, but I'd like them to stay deleted. Does anyone have any tips?

Can I delete App-specific folders from iCloud? I would like to delete the app-specific folders for Numbers, Pages, Preview, and TextEdit at the root of my iCloud storage. These folders seem to be standard with iCloud. Perhaps the apps create these folders if they do not find them the first time they run. Many of the files in these folders are aliases of files that I stored elsewhere in documents. I find these folders confusing and clutter, so I'd like to delete these 4 folders after moving out all of the non-alias files to the folder inside Documents that is most appropriate. Q1. Prevent Certain Folders in iCloud Drive from Deleting I have some folders in the iCloud Drive that I will be working on everyday and my MacBook is always low in space. Is there any way that I can prevent the folders from being deleted when it's low in space? It is annoying that I need to manually click download every time I want to work on it.

preview directory not visible in finder I tend to use my standard iCloud directory tree to save documents and files. If I access iCloud via a browser there is a preview directory in the iCloud root directory. However, if I go via finder, I am unable to browse to find the preview directory. All the other folders are there as normal. Turning on "show hidden folders" does not help. This means that if I save a pdf to the iCloud preview folder, the only way I can find it later is by going via the iCloud login in a browser. Any ideas?

I don't believe the Shortcuts folder can be deleted, and I may venture to say the same for the Preview folder as well.

I am able to delete both folders but they reappear after several days.

That's why I said I don't believe they're to be deleted.
