WiFi keeps connecting to WiFi even though Auto-Join is off
This is something that keeps happening to my wife's phone and I can't figure out how to stop it. She has an iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 14.0.1 that she has downloaded and installed. Everything has been working great on the phone but this problem won't go away and neither of us know what to do to fix it. I'm hoping someone on here may know how. We have Xfinity Mobile for our Internet provider and they have one of their WiFi's programmed into the phone that normally you would need a password for that gives you access to their public WiFi hotspots named "XFINITY". The problem that she is having is that the phone CONSTANTLY connects to this hotspot and it's slow as heck most of the time. She has turned off the "Auto-Join" and unfortunately it's not possible to forget this network as it is not an available option with this connection. Even with Auto-Join turned off, the phone will disconnect from our WiFi at home and then connect to this one again and as I said it's very slow. We don't want to use this as it is an option to help keep data usage down when you aren't home, but we have unlimited so not having the hotspot joined is no issue we just don't want it to ever connect to this connection. Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of this so it will stop trying to connect? I have Auto-Join turned off on my phone which is the iPhone 11 Pro Max and my phone does not connect at all unless I click on that network. I have tried to find "Profiles" to see if there was something that is installed there that has the information for this network installed, but I can't even find the profiles in iOS 14. It's getting very frustrating and I'm wondering if there is anyone that might have some ideas as to what to try. I will call the provider if that is what it comes down to, but figured I would check here first to see if someone might know before going that route.
