iMessage sign in fail on computer with different Apple ID
I purchased a new Macbook Air for work and created a new Apple ID to go with it. My personal computer has an Apple ID tied to all my other devices and linked with my phone number. I do not want all the files to be shared between the two computers, as I'd like my work computer to be just for work, but I would like to have access to iMessage.
When I've tried signing into iMessage on the new computer, I see error messages (an error occurred during authentication) even after I've "approved" the device from my other devices and input authentication codes. It will not let me sign in. Any idea why this may be?
