I notice my screen sometimes zooms which I cannot see the top white area or the dock on the bottom. Something I'm doing with the mouse is triggering this. If I go to the corners it just moves the screen a few pxls to each corner. Any help this is driving me nuts.

it's called "smart zoom". if you lightly double tap your mouse without double clicking, it will zoom in or out. i was confused at first too, but once you get used to how it works, you'll wonder how you did without it.
edit: i should have mentioned that the "control+scroll" is much more sensitive than it was before catalina.
Found it, Accessebility two fingers on screen zooms in. Thx SOLVED!
This works only with web pages I'm referring to the desktop screen itself as the mouse gestures for smart zoom do not work on the desktop screen itself

sometimes when i "control+click", the screen zooms in a little, seemingly by itself. if you try "control+scroll" either up or down you can reverse the seemingly "automatic" zooming.
