Macbook Air 2013 - can I add RAM or SSD?

The website has been giving me the runaround regarding calling Apple Support or making a Genius Bar Appointment (i.e. I can't) - I just want an answer to my question:

My Macbook Air 2013 RAM has been acting up (8GB), so that it runs a 7.8GB/8GB with regular use, and decides to shut down whenever I use Zoom/MS Teams video. I have deleted my disk and reinstalled the OS, and it is still happening.

Is it possible to add RAM/change the RAM on my laptop, given the year? I have heard that I may have issues, but have not been able to reach anyone to confirm this.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

You CAN upgrade your ssd drive, but not ram.

adding a new ssd drive will improve the speed of your MacBook air as did mine.

zoom has been giving older laptops problems, but there are solutions online.

i never used zoom so i can't help you there, you need to find these or get advice here.

my 2010 MacBook air runs incredible today with 4gb of ram (mojave supplemental install) ,

yours will be much faster as well.
