I have an appointment today for a new iphone. The problem is that my current iphone 6 has no battery left and I can't get it to charge. So how can I transfer the data for my current phone to the new one.

I'm not sure if you can use your MacBook to restore from an iCloud backup.. but you can do it directly by connecting the new iPhone to WiFi

If you cannot get the old phone powered on, you will not be able to recover your data. You will have to use your latest backup, which was hopefully recent.
Would my latest backup be available via the cloud on my MacBook Pro?
