StartUp Security Utility

hi, just wiped my SSD, I tried installing Catalina, but when download completes, it shows an error, and ask me to enable external disk from startup utility, but startup utility shows me this instead "Recovery is trying to change system settings. No administrator found"

Try creating a bootable macOS USB installer:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201372


See if you can install Catalina by booting into Internet Recovery Mode (Command + Option + R).


Are you trying to install Catalina to the internal or external drive?


Edit: If you are erasing the drive, then make sure to erase the whole physical drive:
