iPhone folders won’t open

My iPhone folders won’t open when I touch them so I can’t access the apps within them. I tried a restart and that did not help.

Hi jenn210,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with your iPhone app folders. It sounds like you aren't able to open them by touch.

Restarting was a great step. How is multi-touch working for the rest of the screen? Check out: If the screen isn’t working on your iPhone or iPad.

Have you checked the battery health? This can also impact opening apps and folders. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Maximum Capacity. This will explain in further detail: iPhone Battery and Performance.

Let us know further details.

Have a fantastic day!
