FCPX lost sound effect library

After recent updates to everything, it seems that FCPX has lost all the sound effects again.

I've read through this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251264172?page=2 and tried everything except a full MacOS re-install.

Has anyone come across any solutions that aren't quite so drastic?

iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS 10.15

Sound Effects library missing (only WAV files) I had folder of sound effects located in /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/Final Cut Pro Sound Effects/(folder) Everything worked fine, until I update FCPX to version 10.6.2 Now sound effects are missing(only WAV files) and mp3 files appear, I tried reinstalling FCPX, deleting all the preferences, nothing helps. However i dont want to convert them. It will lose quality. Any ideas? MacOS version: 12.4 FCPX: 10.6.2 iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020)

Sound output select in Sound control panel not working in Ventura Choosing the sound output from the sound control panel does not work on Mac OS Ventura. Have to switch outputs using the quick menu in the menu bar. This is arguably more convenient, but still not working as it should. Not really asking a question, just documenting the bug.
