I have my deceased parent's iPhone6, and would like to use it as a camera. I removed the passcode, but the phone is still linked to an iCloud account, and I don't know the ID or passcode. How can I remove the phone from the iCloud account?

I don't want access to my parent's iCloud account, I just want to wipe clean the phone so it's no longer associated with any iCloud account. I want to use the old phone as a camera and manually download pictures on the phone to my macbook. Is there a way to remove the iphone from an iCloud account without getting a court order?
