Screen is unresponsive. Can't slide to shut down. Can I connect it with the computer and fix it or what?

you can try a force restart..
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support
otherwise you may need to send in for repair.

If your screen is malfunctioning, you will need to get it repaired at an Apple Store. There is nothing you can do.
Chat told me to push volume up then volume down and the phone reset. Now fine.
