Apple Books is buggy

This app is very treacherous.

Some of my books that I placed there are not to be found

Syncing to iPhone and also to the laptop is incorrect

The books are in the cloud, but not all will download, and so this is the same as if your books are lost.

And worse still: the folder in the cloud is hidden.

To find it you have to search a book with Spotlight.

You cannot see the number of books that are downloaded in your Books App.

There are other strange things aswell, f ex the alphabetic sorting is not correct etc

What alternatives are there

Apple Books not syncing I have hundreds of ebooks and pdfs saved on the app and previously it was sorted under “recent” or “manually” where i can find my recently downloaded books. After i deleted and reinstalled the app on my iphone, it became all messed up and i can’t seem to sort it and find my recent books anymore. Also, the few recent collections that are created can’t be synced on my iphone when it appears on my ipad .

Is there a way to get Nook on the iPad to find books already on the ipad? I have many books on my iPad. Accidentally deleted NOOK, reinstalled from the app store, but it doesn't show any books in my library. Is there a way to get it to 'find' those books? If not, is there a way for me to delete those books since I can't access them and they are just taking up space on the iPad. I also have Kindle on my iPad. If I can't get NOOK to find those books, can I get Kindle to find them? It's frustrating to have 100s of unread books/documents on the iPad with no way to get to them or to delete them. Steve

books not syncing to my ipad I remember having this issue with audiobooks when Ipad os 13 came out but I don't remember what I did to solve it. Now I'm having the same issue with books. I go to finder > my ipad > Books. Everything I want transferred is selected .. but nothing syncs over. I've tried rebooting the macbook pro, rebooting my ipad, using different cable, plugging into the different usb ports. I've also tried, on my mac, finder > go > home > get info > the selecting "apply to closed items" in the bottom selection options. On my ipad I've also went to settings > my name > icloud > the turning off and then back on "books." Can someone please help? Ipad OS 13.4.1 along with the latest addition of Catalina on my 2015 macbook pro. thank you!
