Older 23 inch Cinema HD Display A1082 not working with 2019 2019 Powerbook

Which adapter do I need to connect and older 23 inch Cinema HD Display A1082 to a 2019 Powerbook? I've tried a DVI to USB-C adapter, also tried adapters: DVI to Mini Display Port then Mini Display to USB-C. Neither of these combinations worked. - Thanks

USB-C to DVI should be the correct adapter. USB-C to Mini DisplayPort followed by Mini DisplayPort to DVI should also work.

Do you have the display's USB cable connected to the computer?

Is the display connected to its power supply?

You don't need to connect the FireWire cable.

Retried dvi to USB-C adapter and this time included plugging in usb cable from the Cinema Display to the MacBook with a usb-c adapter. The macbook recognized the display in the system display settings, but the cinema screen remained dark. I disconnected the dvi to usb-c adapter and re-connected again, and it works! Thanks for your help, glad to have the cinema display in use again!
