When I do a search for a song or artist, it lists my search items & when I click to hear a sample, it opens a Radio subscription window. I decline to pay $9.99, the window goes away, and I click to listen to the song sample & I just get the same Radio app advertisement again. How can I listen to song samples after doing a search?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Apple Support Communities. We see that you're having an issue playing samples of songs on your Mac with the latest version of Music installed.
You mention that a window asking you to subscribe to Radio appears whenever you try to listen to a sample song. Are you referring to the window to join Apple Music?
If this is the window you see, you may have the "Sync Library" option turned on.
To check, go to Music > Preferences and go to the General tab. See if Sync Library is selected. If it is, uncheck the box, and quit Music. Launch Music again and see if you can play samples without any popups.

Thank you. That cleared up the issue for me. How anyone could figure that out without help is impossible to me.
Same thing is happening to me. So annoying.
I cannot search for an artist in iTunes Stone and preview/purchase a song without this dumb popup to join Apple Music. Oh well, I guess I will be purchasing my music somewhere else.
