Apple Iphone 7 repair refused by Apple

I have one of the known factory defect Iphone 7 models (A1660). They approved to send in to get fixed. Now Apple refuses to fix it.

Are claiming I damaged it.

What are my options?

iPhone 7, iOS 13

I am going through the same issue. My iphone X was eligible for display module replacement; but the service center wasn't able to repair it and cited that there must be something else wrong with it! That is their expert opinion!

If your phone did not have any liquid damage (and this easily verfiable becaue apple puts in strips in their phone to check) then ask for proof of what caused the rusting. Cause rusting can only happen in presence of moisture and if you did not damage your phone with any liquids, then its a defect.

If they cannot provide proof, then you shoudl escalate the issue with a apple support service/repair manager that can provide you a better explanation as to what the problem is.

It is not "Out of Warranty". It is the factory defect network issue on the Iphone 7.

It is fully and eligible qualified to be fixed.

They made up an excuse that I damaged the phone on something totally unrelated to then get out of fixing it.

Claimed they saw "some corrosion" of some type inside. Accused me of having had it submerged in water.

They are lying.

They actually completely admitted it had nothing at all to do with the Factory Defect.

This is like Toyota doing a factory recall on a bad transmission from factory and then when you bring it in they state we aren't going to fix the transmission because it looks like you put a dent in your bumper.

You guys state that Apple does not read or respond to these threads but they are reading them.

Maybe Support can do the ethical thing and honor the promise to repair an admitted defective phone they sold me.

I have plenty of phones. I don't need the phone and i have all the money I need. It's a matter of principle and fair business practices which seem to be absent here.
