MAC MIRRORING

I have 2 MAC's. A 27" and a 21". I am trying to make the 21" as a blank screen showing apps that I pull up on the 27". I have looked at Mirroring... but I am unable to get what I want. I did it once before but forgot how I did it. I have connected the two by the Lightening connection but do not see either screens. I would like to be able to copy files from the 27 to the 21 for viewing and use the files on the 27 for correction etc. Any advice is appreciated. I have tried all the advice in articles pertaining to this subject but have not been successful.

TDM is no longer supported by Apple (no there are no work arounds) . Your question is extremely common and the answer is always the same. In short, if you need an external display for a Mac, please buy one and save a lot of money by buying expensive cables, there are hundreds of displays that will work and the prices have come way down.

Please also remember, that Macs are computers and are not intended to be displays for other devices.
