General Confusion on Formats

It's been several years since I wrote my first digital book in Author for iBooks. I noticed the switch to using Pages and have started working in that, but now see the industry standard is EPub. Should I export to EPub and work in that format? (This is a children's book with illustrations and embedded audio files.)

Thank you for any help and advice!

lBooks Author can export to both .epub and .ibooks formats. .ibooks format can only be read on Apple devices, while .epub can be read everywhere. As you know, iBooks Author is no longer available, though you can still use it if you have it.

Pages can only export to .epub, so that is definitely the format you will have to use. How well your content will work in Pages and .epub you will have to find out by trying it.
