Trackpad/Clicking/folders and files not responsive(APPLE PLEASE PROVIDE AN OS UPDATE!)

I had done an exchanged for a new macbook pro 16inch(MacOS Catalina 10.15.7) because I thought that there was an issue with the trackpad. However, after I exchanged a new macbook, the issue was solved because this new macbook is on MacOS Catalina 10.15.6 . After the update to 10.15.7, the trackpad/system issue came back. So I am convinced that it is the software issue that is causing this. I had done a factory reset and reinstalled the OS before and it did not solve any issue. The best solution is that, apple should look into this, test it out and provide an UPDATE to solve this issue.

ISSUE:

Using the trackpad to click on my folders, despite setting it to tap to click and light click, the files or folder sometimes does not open up, had to tap multiple times or even wait awhile before I try again. Not sure is it the trackpad or the system is lagging. Even when using an external mouse, the files might not open up. The trackpad is working but when I click on my photos or even files in the hard disk/ Icloud, it does not open up.

I understand your MBP's trackpad is unresponsive in various and unpredictable ways. Exchanging the Mac for a new one did not resolve the problem, and it persists using external input devices. You already tried erasing the Mac completely and reconfiguring it.

Please determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac.

Thank you for your respond. I have tried it in safe mode and the issue did not resolve and I feel that the MBP become a bit laggy. It might not be the trackpad problem, even with external mouse, the files or folder might not open immediately after clicking, it will open after many attempt to click on the folder. It is very obvious when I click around on my photos using the trackpad. My photos is also linked to my icloud. Even folders in my system also have this response issue. Do advise!

"Safe Mode" is helpful toward identifying potential software causes brought on by various non-Apple software.

In general if a Mac continues to perform poorly in Safe Mode then a hardware fault becomes the most likely cause. However, since you already exchanged that Mac for a new one and the problem persists, those troubleshooting efforts conflict with each other.

Since your Mac is new you really ought to contact Apple and have them perform some more investigation. Tell them everything you've done toward resolving the problem and ask them what you should do next. Exchanging the Mac for another new one doesn't seem like it's going to help, but that's just my opinion.

Make it Apple's problem. Contact Support and ask what you should do. You know you're getting somewhere when they ask your permission to gather some information about your Mac by running a program that they will provide.
