Screen keeps on going black for 1-5 seconds all the time

It's the year 2020 and my Apple TV Model A1625 (64 GB) TV OS 14.0.1 still blacks out momentarily to the Samsung TV when using Screen Mirroring from an iPad or iPhone, or when certain applications are launched, like AT&T TV. I've seen this problem reported as early as 2015. One of the supposed advantages of Apple products is that the control the hardware and software so everything is supposed to play nicely together. Need a fix for this intermittent blackout issue.

QUESTION: Is there a fix for this?
