DJI Mavic Air 2 wont connect to MacBook Pro (2019) over USB C

I cant connect my Mavic Air 2 to my MacBook to access the internal drive over a USB C or Thunderbolt cable the only workaround I have found is using a USB C to USB A with a USB A to USB C adapter

This issue was not found on an older MacBook Air (pre 2017 not sure of the year) using just a USB C to USB A cable.

This issue was also not found on a Dell laptop when using USB C to USB C or Thunderbolt Cables.

My MacBook is fully up to date 10.15.7 and drone is also fully updated. The cables are all working just Fine I used 6 separate USB C to USB C including a brand new thunderbolt cable that all worked on the Dell and none worked on the MacBook. additionally I used multiple USB C to USB A cables to see if it only worked on one and that wasn't the case all (3) USB C to USB A cables when paired with either (2) USB A to USB C adaptor and all 6 combination of cables and adaptors worked but none of the 6 USB C to USB C cables.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

Hey there Drake33,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand you’re having issues connecting your DJI Mavic Air 2 to your MacBook Pro. You’ve taken some great steps to isolate this so far and we’ll be happy to help.

If you haven’t already, do an SMC and NVRAM reset on your Mac:

Then go through the rest of the steps in this link:

We hope this helps.

Take care.
