Hallmark Card Studio 2020 issues

I had used Hallmark Card Studio for Windows for several years beginning in 2008 and really liked the program. However, in 2013 I purchased a MacBook Pro but found HCS for Mac does not operate smoothly. I am unable to browse through cards easily, since it is necessary to exit the program completely each time I want to view a new card. I contacted support, and they told me to use the magnifying glass for browsing, but nothing happens when I click on this. The support tech also told me to use the escape button to get out of a card, but this does not work either. Is anyone else having this issue? I purchased HCS programs in 2014 and 2017, but neither of those programs work on the latest Catalina updates, and anyway, I was completely tired of the cumbersome process for browsing cards. I thought they would have resolved this in the latest 2020 version, but unfortunately, nothing has changed to make browsing easier. Any ideas? The problem is installing correctly, so that is not the issue.
