Apple TV gets stuck and doesn't show menu on pause in YouTube after the recent update

After the latest Apple TV update, it doesn't work like before when watching YouTube. It used to show a menu when you would pause in the middle of program and it would show you a list of relevant programs, it doesn't do that anymore. Also, you can not pause it in YouTube at all or it will freeze completely and won't start till you either unplug it or wait ten minutes.

Is this meant to be with the new update or is it a problem?

Does anyone know how to fix it? Or maybe how to downgrade it?

My device is Apple TV 3rd generation.
