Hi,
I am running the latest in OS X (10.15.7) and for some reason I am no longer able to export any of my photos. Every time I try, I get failed with "Unknown Error (2)". I have tried different directories, single picture, multiple pictures, etc. All with same result. Any ideas?

As a test launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it? (This tells us if the problem is limited to your current library or is more wide spread)
Log into another vanilla user account, Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac, and see if the problem persists. (This tells us if the problem is limited to your user account or is system wide).

Don't delete the old libary. Open the new library, go to preferences, general tab, and click use as system photo library.
I cloud should then sync to the new library. You then still have the old library in case further recovery is needed.
Cool - you'll need to leave photos open until it has synced.
Ok, so it is currently syncing the photos. I did an export on a picture and it did work. Will let it complete the sync and try again. I will also try on one of my other computers to see if similar behavior for this account.
Ah, thanks. So when I created a new library, imported and then exported it worked. And interestingly, my main photo library is up to date but when I look at the created and modified date they are showing the same 2019 date. So sounds like it may have been corrupted. Is the only or best option to delete and then let it re-sync from iCloud? Should I be concerned that maybe whatever issue this is may have also been sync'd up, in which case this would recur when I refresh?
Also, I went into an a vanilla account that I have not used photos before and was able to import and export without issue.
