my photos are located in TimeMachine & iCloud but I need them on Photos on my desktop. How do I get them there after I wiped my computer and brought it back up?

If they are in I cloud, then the easiest way will be to get your computer to sync with Icloud.

First check that your computer is signing into Icloud:

Settings:Apple ID

If it is not, sign in.

Then open photos and:

Photos>Preferences - general tab: If the "use as system photos library" button is not greyed out, click it. (if it is greyed out then your library is already the system library)

Select the icloud tab (still in preferences)

Check Icloud Photos and Download originals to this Mac
