When I point or double point with Apple Pencil, the pen or paint brush options do not appear

We understand you're unable to double-tap the tip of your Apple Pencil to switch between the paint brush and pen. We'll be happy to help.


It sounds like you're referring the feature to double-tap your Apple Pencil tip to switch between the last tool used. For more info on how to use and configure this feature, check out the section "Double-tap Apple Pencil (2nd generation)" here: Use Apple Pencil with your iPad


This section explains that you can switch back and forth between the last tool used. To check those settings, go to: Settings > Apple Pencil

Note this is available on the 2nd generation of the Apple Pencil.
