Dead Pixel Or Not?

I recently got a tiny black spot on my IPad 2017, I thought it was a dead pixel and took a closer look, But it didn’t look like a dead pixel........Here is a picture of it and a 100% Crop, Can Anyone tell me what it is, or it is just a dead pixel......

The apparent distortion of surrounding pixels suggests that this isn’t a dead pixel - but perhaps, more likely:

an optical defect in (or foreign object beneath) a screen protector - if fitted
an optical defect of the screen cover glass
a screen manufacturing defect

There ain’t any protector installed, So I guess one of the other two is the problem, Thanks!

Btw I guess there isn’t anyway to clean/remove it....or there is?
