The world clock face turns black or white at some time each day. I have multiple time zones set so I see them at different states. Previous posts have said the change is from night to day and back. Yet as I write this I have 9:30 am black (EST), 7:30 am black (MST), 6:30 am black (PST) and 3:30 pm white (Paris). Clearly the designation is not night/day. Other posters have said it’s not am/pm, but perhaps it is. Anyone know?

Do your Part: Using this link, report this as a performance issue in the iOS by selecting Performance for the Feedback Type: Feedback - iPhone - Apple. The more apple hears about this, the more their engineers will know what updates to create in order to fix this.
The lack of explanation bugs me too. I live in Australia and chat to people in Europe, UK and North America, and it's a pain not having clarity on this issue.
