iPhone 8 stereo channel not working

When I play certain songs with separate stereo channel sounds, one channel is barely audible. This is the case when playing through the phone, through headphones, and through the Bluetooth in my car and Sonos system. The only resolution I’ve found is to go to Settings>Accessibility>Audio/Visual and turn on Mono Audio. Other than the always tedious inconvenience of going to the Apple Store, does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

Hey cousinmao,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. If we understand, specific songs you play on your iPhone stereo sound doesn't sound as expected. To temporarily resolve the issue, you can turn on mono audio. We want to help! To start, we always recommend ensuring that your device is fully updated as updates help to resolve many issues: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Are the songs this happens with iTunes purchases, from the Apple Music catalog, or other sources? If you are able, delete one of the songs and add it back to see if that helps: Delete music, movies, and TV shows from your device

Keep us posted.

Take care.

Yes, I tried the balance trick and also the slide the volume trick. The only thing that "works" is to put the phone in mono mode. Fortunately for me, I just finished paying off the phone, so I get to pay to get it fixed, live with it, or buy another phone. I am particularly happy with iOS 14.0.1*. The update has given me the opportunity to spend hours with my smart phone fixing things.

*The speaker problem started before iOS 14. The update is just adding more joy to my Apple Experience.
