Disable proxy in Network configuration

Hello

I have recovered a macmini that was used in a school. It was used a proxy. At home, I do not use a proxy.

In my account, that is an administrator account, I succeeded in disable the proxy in system preferences - network - advanced. No problem, I can connect to internet.

But in other accounts (simple users), while I have disabled the proxy configuration using the administrator account, the configuration is recovered after a reboot.

How can I disable this automatic reconfiguration of the network connection ? Where can I find the custom configuration scripts that are launched at boot ?

Many thanks,

Benoît

Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...

System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.

System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.

The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

Sys Prefs>Network>highlight the Interface you're using>Advanced>TCP/IP>Configure IPv4: Using DHCP.

If using Wifi, instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.

System Preferences>Network>choose interface>Advanced>Proxies Tab, make sure none are set, like for HTTP & HTTPS.

System Preferences>Network, unlock the lock if need be, highlight the Interface you use to connect to Internet, click on the advanced button, click on the DNS tab, click on the little plus icon, then add these numbers...

Hello,

Thanks for your help. But that does not solve the problem. All users take this newly-created network location, but the behaviour is like a configuration daemon/file overrides the proxy configuration.

Under administrator account, I created a new clean location without proxy parameters. Internet connection is ok under this new location. I go to an user account: the location has switched to this new location BUT the proxy parameters are not empty !!

Thanks.
