Apple Pencil 2 suddenly stopped working!

I used my Apple Pencil yesterday. Picked it up this evening to use it and it will not pair with my iPad Pro. I have tried restarting iPad, forgetting device, tightening tip. The device has not fallen since I got it in dec 2019 and I use it every day. I’m lost here. Any ideas?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help with your Apple Pencil. It sounds like it will no longer pair.


Have a look at this page: Connect Apple Pencil with your iPad and the steps under "If your Apple Pencil won't pair with your iPad".


If possible, try connecting with another iPad in order to isolate the issue further.
