2019 MBP and Samsung crg9 49" monitor getting only 1920 x 1080 resolution

I have a 2019 16" Macbook Pro. I got a USB-C to HDMI cable and connected the laptop to the monitor, yesterday when i plugged it in (for the first time), my laptop screen got squished horizontally and display looked good on the Samsung 49" monitor. Today however, it shows only 1920 x 1080 option as max. Yesterday when I went to the display - color option, i saw crg9 profile show up. Now, i just see a generic Display profile. How to fix this. This laptop has two graphics card, I have turned off "Automatic Graphic Switching" so it picks the AMD graphics card all way and can confirm that when I go to Display settings

MacBook Pro 15”, macOS 10.15

If the built-in display changed the you hooked up the external display, you are using [√] Mirror displays.

This uses a compromise resolution that is computed so as to be supported by BOTH displays, which are then driven by the same display-generator.

Use the Command-F1 key to toggle Mirroring, Or use

System preferences > Displays > Arrangement
