I have had 2 different apple id for several years. 1 for home iMac and 1 for my business MacBook air. However, I want to be able to play my music via iTunes Match, which is through my home apple id, on my business laptop. Can I use one apple ID for Music and another for iCloud? Thanks

As long as you sign in with the Apple ID that is subscribed to iTunes Match in the Music application of your MacBook Air, then using two separate Apple IDs in this way is possible.
