IOS 14.0.1 Update and Dropped calls on my iPhone 11 Pro

I recently asked a question related to dropped (failed calls) since I installed the IOS 14.0.1 update on my iPhone 11 Pro. Today the issue was fixed with the aid from a very knowledgeable Apple Support Team member. During my call with Apple my call dropped 5 times and he immediately called me back to fix the issue.

  • Go to Settings
  • Go to Cellular
  • Go to Cellular Data Options
  • Go to Voice & Data
  • Turn off VoLTE, (mine was green, however it was sort of grayed out and I had to turn on my Data Roaming first to allow me to turn off VoLTE. The Apple Support explained this VoLTE is a feature on iPhone 11s not in earlier versions if iPhone.


This resolved the issue.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! The dropped call issue has been driving us mad at our house. We've been having that problem with our XS phones. Your fix appears to have worked.
