My mums iPad 2 running on ios9.3.5 no longer allows her to FaceTime me. I am on ios14. She is in a care home with no other form on communication due to covid. Will apple provide an update to fix this problem quickly. It has happened before with previous updates. Anyone else had the same problem?
I'd try to log out of all the iCloud, FaceTime, iMessage. Then go and shut down her iPad and log back into them and see if the issue resolves itself.
I have brought this issue with apple support and they have acknowledge this is an issue users with iOS 9 are having. Unfortunately, they have not shared whether or not they will address the issue and if they do address the issue will it be on their side or a patch release.
