Touch Bar Flashing
I have similar issue my touch bar is not working as it should and suddenly flashes with bright white light in middle of touch bar - it is a 2016 15" MacBook Pro with Catalina 10.15.7

All you can do is try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
and
Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
if no resolve you have a hardware issue.
