I have a new 2020 MacMini, but want to transfer files from old 2014 mini using firewire relay mode. How can I do this as there is no firewire on the new computer. The old computer has problems booting but I figure that in relay mode the new should be able to see the hard drive.
I need my old data desperately!

I’m pretty sure there is no FireWire on the old one either. However, both should have Thunderbolt. You will need a Thunderbolt 2 cable and a USB-C adapter for the 2020 Mac mini.

Late 2104 Mac minis do not have Firewire 800 ports. And, the current Mac mini is the 2018 model, and it doesn't have Firewire too.
There is a firewire800 port on my 2014 mini.
If there is a thunderbolt adaptor for this I can't find it.
The Late 2012 Mac mini had a FireWire 800 port but the current 2018 model does not have one.
Also note that in your Subject line, you say the you have iMacs, but in your text you claim to have Mac minis, please clarify. What do you actually have?
