Do I have to do anything to replace Adobe Flash Player?

I have received notice that Adobe Flash Player will be discontinued after 2020. Do I have to do anything to replace this?

I read the EOL above but I am still unclear what I have to do. Is there something that Apple uses to replace Flash Player?

There’s nothing you need to do except follow Adobe’s advice and uninstall Flash ASAP. Flash was replaced by HTML5 (a worldwide internet standard) years ago. HTML5 has been built into macOS for years too. After the first of the year any website or app that still requires Flash will start failing as ALL browsers drop support for it.

No, it will not disappear. You must install it yourself. However, there are no consequences to just leaving it alone. It won’t gum up your computer, it will just stop working and will be taking up space on your system. It would be better if you uninstalled it but you don’t have to.

No, you don’t need an alternative as you already have one installed, namely macOS and Safari that support the latest technologies that have replaced Flash for video on the internet.
