i just bought a reconditioned Mac and it’s is OS el capitan. I’ve installed Akai mpc beats but I can’t open. Apparently there has always been a problem with This and Os El Capitan .
I can’t even download an earlier version because Akai send you one link download for version 2.8 . So I can’t choose. Any ideas ? Thanks 🙏

If you scroll down to Software Support you will see that MPC was already supported in 2015.

What you need to get is a copy of the MPC beats software compatible with El Capitan,
I have had a look at their website and it does not make it clear what versions of OS
version 2.8 is supported in nor does it have links to older versions, well as far as I could tell,
it is a very bad website.
This would mean you contacting Akai themselves and see if they still have older versions available.
I had the same issue, for some reason it works on my macbook, not on my Mac Pro both running el capitan. So I installed 1.9 after talking to Akai, they said its not compatible, but as I stated earlier 2.8 works on my Mac book same os.
