Iphone 11 Pro ringer volume problem

Since turning updating to IOS 14.0.1 and adding the national track and trace app, meaning bluetooth is on all the time, my phone volume goes down to zero at random intervals .

This is the ringer volume under sound and haptics. I have tried turning off the adjust by buttons option , this is not a solution to my issue. What causes this issue? It must be a software issue as no buttons are pressed on the phone when it happens. I shouldn't have to turn off phone features just to keep the volume at a normal level.

As I am working from home this causes me to miss calls and messages as I never know if the phone volume is on or off.

Hello RGolle,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, your volume is slowly being set to zero after updating to iOS 14. We can understand why you'd reach out for a solution.

First, have you checked to ensure the buttons are inadvertently being pressed to lower the volume? If there is a case on your iPhone, does the same thing occur with the case removed?

Also, here is a resource that can help.

If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker

Cheers!
