macOS Calendar - Starting Location

Hi,

When I am creating a new calendar event on my phone and I want to include travel time the Calendar app picks a starting location for my journey. If the starting location is wrong I can specify a new one by entering an address

When I'm doing the same in macOS Catalina there doesn't seem to be any way of selecting a new starting location by address. I know I can select home or work but can I not enter a different address, like I can on my phone?

Thanks,

Ed.

You may want to consult Add location and travel time to events in Calendar on Mac - Apple Support which states:

"If your card in Contacts doesn’t have your addresses, Calendar uses your computer’s current location. Determining your computer’s location requires that Location Services be turned on (see Change Privacy preferences)."

It seems a little odd that the iOS version of the app allows me to specify any starting location simply by typing in the address of where I’m going to be but the macOS version only allows me to select from home/work address.

I’m an engineer and out on the road all day so I don’t have a single work address - I have new ones every day. Adding appointments on my phone works perfectly but it seems macOS calendar doesn’t cater for this. Seems an odd omission.
