I would like to upgrade my OS from Yosemite to High Sierra on my MacBook Pro (Early 2011) but the version available on the Apple store is damaged/corrupted.

If you get a corrupted message...

Naw, not damaged, it's just that you have an old copy already in Applications, Trash the Install MacsOS High Sierra.app in Applications then a new copy more recent version can be downloaded.

Ok it is not damaged, what it really means is the App Store has detected a copy of the

Install macOS High Sierra.app in your Applications folder.

Locate it, move it to the Trash, empty the Trash.

Connect your mac to your router via cable, Restart your mac.

Go back to the App Store High Sierra page it will now say Get or Download not Open.

Do not use the mac while it is downloading or any other devices that share the same

internet connection.
