Siri Apple TV Remote no longer turns on Sony Bravia 4K

Two weeks ago my Apple TV remote suddenly stopped turning on my TV. All other features work, I can put both the Apple TV and TV to sleep using the Apple TV remote, but I have to use my Sony remote to turn the TV on manually. It was nice only needing one small remote. I’m up to dates on Software. Any advice is helpful.

Verify that HDMI-CEC is still turned on, on all your connected HDMI devices.

When I go to the sync menu and try to load device controls/connected devices it doesn’t load. It says its loading, but stops. Do you know why or how to check the CEC another way?
