tumbling sound On FaceTime

Hi, i have ipad pro 2018 version. This started pretty recently, when i call on FaceTime ipad makes tumbling or rumbling sound in the beginning. This happens only when i call someone. And it’s only in the beginning of a FaceTime call, nowhere else. I rebutted ipad. Checked the settings but nothing worked. I am pretty sure I have not dropped my ipad. Also i don’t put water anywhere near it so theres no way water could damage the speaker. Its very annoying and its very loud. Pls help!

Hello sandro137,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are hearing strange sounds at the beginning of a FaceTime call.

To start, is it only you who hears the sound, or do you and the other party both hear it?

Does this same sound happen on Wi-Fi as well as cellular data?

Are you using a headset of any kind? If not, when you test on a headset, are you hearing the same thing? What if you try on both the speakerphone and receiver?

Also, make sure your iPad is up to date, as the updates contain stability fixes that can resolve issues like yours, as well as important security updates to keep your iPhone safe.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Cheers!
