Razer Core X Chroma and AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT not working on 2018 powerbook

What is happening:

My 2018 MacBook Pro can see the razer core x, but not the GPU in the case.

When I check the activity monitor, the 5700 isn't listed.

I also have the first-gen Blackmagic egpu connected and the Mac sees it.

The Mac will not see the 5700 (just the USB ports in the Razor enclosure.

I have reinstalled the current system three times, and nothing.

Used multiple cords on the egpu (including the cables that work with the Blackmagic egpu)

nothing...

Setup:

2018 Macbook Pro

Razer Core X Chroma case

AMD 5700 (purchased from OWC mac store)

(working egpu: Blackmagic 560X)

What I tried thus far:

Tried multiple c3 cables (all three work with the black magic eGPU)

Connect and disconnect Blackmagic eGPU

Disconnected everything but the egpu with the and 5700 in it (system could fins the case but not the card)

Using the terminal I rebuilt keext cache

Zaped Pram and SMC

I plugged it into different  ports on the Mac as well..

Reinstalled Catalina,

Did a fire god dance naked on the roof...

Alright it does work. I am an idiot.

Let me see if I can explain. It was a mistake I made attaching the power cables, who knew I needed to attache in a certain order?

When attaching the power cable inside the Razor Core, you must do I this way.

1) four

2) two

3) four

I attached

1) four

2)four

3)two..

and it didn't power the card enough.. enough for it to sound like it was working, but not enough to kick it in...crazy... Razor tech support helped me out. The ethernet connection does not work on Macs, but may be implemented in a later firmware update.

Good News... this idiot was able to get amazing renders I am out ofOctane (In C4d) and they are insanely quick and beautiful, I can't believe my eyes.

According to Razer customer support, the 5700 XT is not working on Mac.

I know this first had because I unfortunately found a lot of resources saying it worked so I dropped the money for a Razer Core X and a 5700 XT and it just made my Macs all crash instantly. I replaced it with a Vega Frontier and this still does not work on TB2 connection, or more specifically it just did not produce video and did not render 3d graphics. Sadly this worked beautifully for about 15 min on a brand new 2019 Macbook Pro until it went to sleep. Aside from that 15 min of amazement it's been a total bust for me and my personal opinion is Apple currently does not support eGPUs. So far my tests have shown Big Sur Beta to be identical in it's issues on TB2 MacBook but I have not tested it on a TB3 machine yet -- my hopes are not up.

Tested in 10.15.6, 10.15.7, 11.0beta
