Apple Photos stuck on downloading originals

67678 items, downloading 74 originals

And it’s hanging on those 74 for two days....

Enough free space, restarted... what else can I do?

Apple Photos stuck uploading forever I have about 50 000 photos in Apple photos. I sync my phone and several macs with the paid version of iCloud and have plenty of free space. On one of my macs, the Photos app has been stuck with "Uploading 41 Items" for months. All other synchronisation seems to work fine. My instinct is that there is something broken with one or more of these 41 items, but I cannot identify which items they are. Any tips on how to get this unstuck?

Photos is broken. Will not download from iCloud. About two weeks ago I used a ‘garbage’ duplicate file remover on my photos. It never worked correctly. Now it would seem my library is corrupted. I’ve received variations of ‘downloading from iCloud’ ‘updating library’ To solve I’ve Toggled iCloud download in preferences Restarted Updated Ensured there’s memory on the disk Rebuilt or repaired the library let the computer download for hours I’m running the current software 25 May 2022 using high speed Internet. The only change I’m seeing is that some recent photos are duplicating on my iPhone / iPad

Photos stuck on downloading [number] originals Photos have been stuck on 'downloading [insert number] originals, for example, in my case, photos are 'downloading 21 originals' on my Mac, but everything is fine on my iPad, so can someone please help? I have tried quitting and re-opening Photos, still stuck. The screenshot below may help. Also, the number in downloading [number] originals doesn't change.

Wait - it takes ages. No idea why - but also the progress indication doesn't move even though stuff is happening (my experience anyway). Leave photos open and minimised overnight for a few nights.
