iPad Pro WiFi speed drops and cuts

Only recently my iPad Pro has displayed some strange WiFi behaviour.

it will be fine, tuning 40/50Mb and then stop responding, testing network speed gives less than 1Mb or fails completely.

any other device including iPhone on same network, same location does 50Mb no issues.

i rebooted, updated firmware and reset network Settings. All worked and the iPad had good connection for around 1-2 minutes then the connectivity issues returned.

im at a loss what else I can do

Hi, Fidgits.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We’re glad you decided to reach out about the Wi-Fi issues you’re experiencing on your iPad Pro. If we understand correctly, your iPad is dropping the Wi-Fi connection and you’ve gone through some great troubleshooting. We’d like to see if we can help you resolve those issues.

Try starting by confirming you’re on the latest iPadOS version.

Update iPadOS - Apple Support

If you haven’t already, try connecting to another Wi-Fi network to see if the connection drops there as well. If it drops there, it helps us isolate it to your iPad. If it doesn’t, double-check your Wi-Fi settings and make sure there aren’t any interference points.
